The Events feature allows you to interact with your learners through live events, such as webinars and lectures. Instructors also have the opportunity to better connect with their students within their courses. Events can be created and managed from Console. There are two types of events, which include:
- Learning Hub Event: A standalone event that will appear in Learning Hub to learners. This type of event can include webinars, conferences, and live courses. Learning Hub Events can also be added to plans and branch plans in order to enroll learners and set up to award credits and badges through our Recognitions feature.
- In-Course Event: A synchronous event that occurs within the context of a course and will appear in the Learning Platform for learners. This type of event can include office hours, lectures, and guest speakers. In-Course events can also be scoped to appear for specific groups.
To use Events, the Events feature access will need to be enabled and is manageable at the tenant level. The feature access will be enabled by default. An admin or user with a custom role and the following permissions will then be able to manage Learning Hub and/or In-Course Events from Console:
