Console’s Custom Pages functionality allows you to easily configure the My Learning section of Learning Hub to fit your organization’s needs. Click here to learn how to create custom pages to enhance learner experience. It also allows you to manage default My Learning tabs.

Default My Learning Tabs

Learning Hub’s My Learning section includes the following default tabs:

  • In Progress - Displays courses a learner has engaged with. Most recently used courses will appear first.
  • Not Yet Started - Displays courses a user is enrolled in, but has not yet begun.
  • Saved For Later - Displays courses saved from the My Learning or Browse page.
  • Completed - Displays courses a user completed. Courses that expire first will appear first.
  • Expired - Displays courses a user no longer has access to. Courses that expire first will appear first.
  • Dashboard - Displays default tabs (In Progress, Completed, Not Yet Started, Expired) as sections on one tab providing a more organized view.  Note: Saved for later tab is not included within the Dashboard tab. Other tab sections will display even if the tab has been toggled off. For example, if you choose to disable the Expired tab, the Expired section underneath the Dashboard tab will show.

Select See All next to a specific section to jump over to the tab right from the Dashboard tab.

You can customize the Dashboard tab by enabling/disabling the default tab sections from being visible, modifying the order of default tabs and the number of items per section. Check out "Customizing the Dashboard tab" section below to learn more.

Enabling and Disabling My Learning Tabs

You can easily enable and disable default tabs and any custom tabs you’ve created, and configure the order of enabled tabs via Console.

Console Admins and users with a custom role with create:custom_page, read:custom_page, update:custom_page, and delete:custom_page permissions can manage the Custom Page section of Console.

To access follow these steps:

  1. In Console, select Experience on the left-hand side of the menu options.
  2. Next, click on Custom Pages.

This page displays all available tabs within the My Learning section. If custom pages have been created they will appear on the list.

To enable/disable a tab, toggle it ON/OFF. The update will be automatically saved.  Note:  At least one tab must be enabled on this page.

To reorder the Learning Hub tabs (appearing horizontally from left to right in My Learning) drag and drop the tabs into the order you want them to display and click Save.

Customizing the Dashboard tab

To modify the Dashboard tab follow these steps:

  1. In Console, select Experience on the left-hand side of the menu options.
  2. Next, click on Custom Pages.
  3. Select Customize link next to the Dashboard tab.
  4. Once the Customize Dashboard pop-up window is displayed you can do the following:
    • Toggle each dashboard ON/OFF accordingly to control their display within the Dashboard tab. Changes will be immediately applied.
    • Drag/Drop each item to control the order within the Dashboard tab (from top to bottom). Click Save to update.
    • Adjust the number of items per each section, the default option recommended is 4. Click Save to update.

Best Practices

When modifying My Learning tab configuration or adjusting the Dashboard tab display, we recommend opening up Learning Hub in a separate tab to confirm the setup is correctly displaying to your users.

To access Learning Hub follow these steps:
1. Click on the profile icon on the top right-hand side of the screen.

Note: The options available in the dropdown menu may vary depending on your level of access to internal tools.
2. Select the Learning Hub and ensure you are on My Learning section.

3. Make any necessary updates and refresh the Learning Hub tab to see your changes.
