BenchPrep’s Product Category Catalog functionality allows you to classify learning products according to a predefined taxonomy. Once configured, learners can seamlessly search and explore learning products within Learning Hub via enhanced filtering capabilities.
Benefits of a Product Catalog include:
- Continuous learning - fosters ongoing education and deeper engagement with the platform by guiding learners to content based on their interests or needs.
- Content discovery - learners can easily discover new, relevant content via an intuitive browsing experience.
- Enhanced organization - categorizes content systematically allowing learners to identify and locate content more efficiently.
Product Catalog can be enabled in 3 places:
- My Learning page in Learning Hub
- Browse page in Learning Hub (if enable)
- Learner Analytics tab in Learning Hub (if enable)
Setup Process
The simple setup process involves:
- Creating product categories in Console.
- Assigning product categories to desired courses/resources via Console.
- Enabling the Product Category Filter tenant level feature access via Console. We recommend enabling the feature once all desired content has been assigned, to support the best user experience.
- Reviewing filtering on Learning Hub’s My Learning page, Browse page and Learner Analytics Page.
Using Product Filters in Learning Hub
Once a product catalog has been established, learners can use the filter on Learning Hub's My Learning, Browse page and Learner Analytics tab.
Expand group categories and select all product categories you would like to filter by. Select Clear all to remove existing filters.
The filters will display associated courses/resources.
