How to Create Flashcards

In BluePrint, navigate to your course, and click on Flashcards in the left navigation panel.

Click on New Flashcard.

Input content for "Side 1." This is the first side a learner sees, so it typically includes the term or concept. NOTE: Side 1 must contain a minimum of 4 or more alphanumeric characters if Crossword Puzzle game will be used. Learn more about Game Center here.

Input content for "Side 2," which is typically the definition or explanation of "Side 1."

Decide if you want to upload a pre-created audio file for “terms” and “definitions.”

Select a category for your flashcard.

If you need to create a new category, click on Add A New Category. A new window will appear where you'll be able to create a parent category or choose from a pre-existing one (optional), and then create a child category.

Click on Create.
How to Create Flashcard Categories

In BluePrint, navigate to your course, and expand the Flashcards section in the left navigation panel.

Click on Flashcard Categories.

Click on New Flashcard Category on the upper-left.

Name the category.

If you are creating a sub-category, select an existing parent category to link to.

Click on Create.

Additional Flashcard Settings (Feature Access)
My Flashcards
When enabled, learners are able to generate flashcards and use them to study. This feature only allows them to create private flashcards (under “My Sets”). To share their flashcards with other users, Community Flashcards must be enabled for them.

Community Flashcards
When enabled, learners are able to generate flashcards independently and upload their sets to the platform for other learners to use and “subscribe” to.

Users may download (or print) a PDF file of custom flashcards made public by another user.
