All Users

To view reporting data for all users, navigate to Boost Dashboard and under the Analytics section in the left-hand menu, click on Students.

The main page of the Students section is a listing of all student users whose data you have permission to view. The following information is available for each student:

  • Name
  • ID
  • Number of enrolled courses
  • Number of active courses (i.e. Courses the user has completed at least one activity in. See the section below to learn what an activity is.)
  • Number of active CL series (if a course has BenchPrep Engage enabled, whether or not the user has unlocked Engage)
  • Date of last activity
  • Average session time in minutes
  • Average Study Plan progress percentage
  • Average score on practice questions
  • Average score on tests
  • Average CL mastery percentage (if a course has BenchPrep Engage enabled, this indicates how many questions a user has achieved mastery on)

NOTE: Resets are not included when calculating the average percentages for scores. After an exam is reset, Boost does not display the previous scores. Instructors/Supervisors may impersonate individual users to view their Previous Score Reports to see the data prior to a reset.

Depending on your screen size, not all of these data points may fit on the screen at the same time. Use the scrollbar at the bottom of the page to move the table left and right. This listing will also paginate after 25 users.

To find a specific user, use the search bars at the top to search by their name, email, or ID. To filter by course, use the drop-down menu at the top-right of the page. To sort all users in ascending or descending order for a specific column, click on the column header.

Activities

An activity consists of taking action (i.e. completing, creating, editing, or deleting) on one of the following:

  • Confidence levels (lessons, flashcards, or questions)
  • Practice questions
  • Exams
  • Essays
  • Bookmarks
  • Highlights
  • Notes
  • Resets (practice questions or exams)
  • Continuous learning cycle (if applicable)

A user must complete an activity within their course in order for it to display a last active date.

One User

1. In the table of students, click on a row to see data for a particular user.

2. On the next page, you’ll be able to see high-level data for this user:

  • Total time spent in the platform
  • Active progress percentage (across all courses)
  • Average practice questions score (across all courses)
  • Average test score (across all courses)
  • Average CL mastery percentage (if a course has BenchPrep Engage enabled, this indicates how many questions a user has achieved mastery on)

For each course this user has access to, the following data points are also shown here:

  • Date of last activity
  • Percentile rank
  • Study Plan progress percentage
  • Average score on practice questions
  • Average test score
  • Average CL mastery percentage (if a course has BenchPrep Engage enabled, this indicates how many questions a user has achieved mastery on)

You can view more specific data for a particular course by clicking on the Analyze button.

This will bring up a page with two tabs: Standard Course and Continuous Learning Series. Standard Course includes data about the main course, while Continuous Learning Series contains data specific to the BenchPrep Engage product. Even if this course does not include BenchPrep Engage, this tab will be visible.

Standard Course

The Standard Course tab (will display the course's name) includes the following data points:

  • Overall Study Plan progress percentage
  • Percentile rank
  • Average score on practice questions
  • Average test score
  • Date of last activity
  • Total time spent (in minutes)
  • Strengths & Weaknesses

The Details section at the bottom of the page also includes detailed information about the user’s work in lessons, flashcards, practice questions, and tests.

The Lessons tab shows the number of lessons the user has marked with high, medium, and low Confidence Levels within each of the course’s lesson categories.

The Flashcards tab shows the number of flashcards the user has marked with high, medium, and low Confidence Levels within each of the course’s flashcard categories.

The Practice tab shows the total number of practice questions the user has answered in this course, the average amount of time it takes the user to answer a question, the average amount of time it takes the user to answer a question incorrectly, the average time it takes the user to answer a question correctly, and their average practice session duration. It also shows the user’s performance within each practice category and subcategory, including their overall score, number of correct answers, and the total number of questions in each category. Depending on your screen size, not all of these data points may fit on the screen at the same time. Use the scrollbar at the bottom of the page to move the table left and right.

NOTE: This tab will only include data for questions answered in Category Practice. If the course has Custom Practice enabled, custom practice data will not appear here. More information about their differences can be found in this article.

The Tests tab shows the user’s average test score, the number of tests taken, and the average amount of time it takes for them to answer questions, answer questions correctly, and answer questions incorrectly. It also includes the names of the tests taken, the number of questions on each test, the user's score, number of correct answers, and the test status (incomplete or complete).

The Continuous Learning Series tab includes the following data points:

  • The user’s average score on questions in their current cycle
  • The user’s mastery percentage in this cycle (how many questions have they achieved mastery on?)

The Knowledge Breakdown by Category table includes data points specific to each content category:

  • The user’s current proficiency in each category
  • The user’s average score across cycles
  • The total number of questions the user has answered in each category as part of BenchPrep Engage

The Cycle Breakdown table shows the user’s performance on past cycles, including these data points:

  • The date range for the cycle’s start date and end date
  • The percent of questions in the cycle the user answered correctly
  • The number of questions the user answered during this cycle
  • The total number of questions in the cycle
