User Roles
The following roles can be assigned to a user via the Tenant Dashboard
Role Name | Description |
Tenant Admin |
Has access to the Tenant Dashboard. This role should only be held by BenchPrep and a select group of your employees. |
Administrative Division Supervisor | Has access to the Boost Dashboard and is able to see high-level data for the admin division they're part of. Unless the "Full Access to Student & Group Reports" box is checked, they won't be able to see the Student Reports or Group Report tabs. |
District Supervisor | Has access to the Boost Dashboard to see high-level data for the district they're part of. Unless the "Full Access to Student & Group Reports" box is checked, they won't be able to see the Student Reports tab. |
District Admin | Has access to the Institution Admin dashboard and is able to view/manage any Institution within their district. |
Institution Supervisor | Has access to the Boost Dashboard and can see the Training Plans, Institution Reports, Group Reports, and Student Reports tabs in full. |
Institution Admin | Has access to the Institution Admin dashboard and may only view/manage their Institution. |
Instructor |
Has access to the Boost Dashboard and the learning app. They will only have access to Group Reports and Student Reports in the Boost Dashboard, and they will only see data for the groups and students they manage directly. Instructors will also have access to Instructor Materials. |
Student | Has access to the learning app. |
Making a user an admin or supervisor
1. Go to the user's details page via the User admin section and click Edit
2. Scroll down to the Reporting Organizations section of the next page
3. Check the box(es) next to the role(s) this user needs and then select save changes.

Giving a user full Boost Dashboard access
"Full" Boost Dashboard access, in this context, means access to the Student Reports and Group Reports page. By default, admin division and district supervisors can't view these pages.
1. Go to the user's details page via the User Admin section and click on the Edit button.
2. Scroll down to the Reporting Organizations section of the next page.
If the user is an admin division supervisor, check the Access box below their admin division. If the user is a district supervisor, check the box below their district.
Moving Users from Institution to Institution
On occasion, you may have to move users from one Institution to another. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Open up the Tenant Dashboard and go to the User Admin section. After you find the user to move, click on their name.
2. Click on the Edit button.
3. Scroll down to Reporting Organizations on the next page. Click on the "X" on the right side of the drop-down list under Institution.
4.. Type in the first few letters of the Institution you're going to add this user to. This should make the full name of the Institution pop up; click on the Institution name.
5. Click on the Save button. If this user is a student, they'll still need to be part of at least one group for instructors to see their data in the Boost Dashboard.
