The Acknowledgement Modal functionality in BenchPrep ensures that learners acknowledge and agree to platform guidelines or other critical Acknowledgements such as terms and conditions, codes of conduct, or similar policies, before proceeding. This can include terms and conditions, codes of conduct, or similar policies, ensuring compliance before learners proceed further within the platform.

 

This feature fosters compliance and creates a positive learning environment. Upon accessing a course, a learner is presented with a pop-up modal displaying the Acknowledgement  Modal content. They must agree to proceed; otherwise, they will be redirected to the Learning Hub.

This functionality is not course-specific. Learners with access to multiple courses will encounter the Acknowledgement  Modal only upon accessing their first course. Once they confirm Acknowledgement , they will not see the pop-up for any subsequent courses. The timestamp of their Acknowledgement  is securely recorded and stored in our database for compliance tracking.
 

 

Configuring the Acknowledge Modal

Enabling the Acknowledgement Modal requires assistance from our support team.  To enable, submit a Support Request the following needs to be provided: 

 

1. Text of the Acknowledgement Modal in HTML format.

   1. There is no character limit of the Code of Conduct.

   2. You can include URL links in the text. 

2. Text of the text next to the confirmation checkbox, if different from the default. The default verbiage is “I have read and agree to the terms of use, privacy statement, and code of conduct.”
   

3. Include localized Code of Conduct text if using BenchPrep’s localization offering.

Once received, our support team will review the request and review the request and files provided. Once confirmed, the request can be processed within 3-5 business days. The functionality can be applied in staging first for review. 

 

Acknowledgement Modal FAQs

What happens if a learner does not agree to the Acknowledgement Modal?
If a learner does not agree to the Acknowledgement  Modal, they will be redirected to the Learning Hub and will not be able to access the course.

 

Is the Code of Conduct specific to each course?
No, the Acknowledgement  Modal is not course-specific. It appears only once when you access your first course, regardless of how many courses you have access to.

 

How can I enable the Acknowledgement Modal for my courses?
Enabling the Acknowledgement Modal requires assistance from our support team. You need to submit a Support Request with the required information. 

 

Can the Acknowledgement Modal be enabled while courses that are in progress? 
Yes, it can be enabled even if learners are already active in a course. Once implemented, learners will be prompted to accept the Acknowledgement  Modal the next time they attempt to access the course. 

 

Does the Acknowledgement Modal functionality work with SSO or LTI setups?
Yes, the Acknowledgement  Modal functionality works seamlessly with any SSO or LTI setup. It operates within the platform after the learner has logged in and does not require modifications to these configurations.
