It's easy to pause tests in our platform, though we don't always recommend it! When studying for an exam, the best practice is to accurately simulate the exam day experience. That being said, we understand that life happens and sometimes you need to pause your exam to take care of other things and come back later. For those instances, we have a pause feature!

Note: This pause feature may not be available to you if your instructor has turned it off.

To pause a test, look in the top right corner for the Pause button. Click it, and the course will pause itself and return you to the Tests page. When you open the Test again later, it will continue from where you left off.

This applies to both Timed and Untimed tests.

If the test is configured as a standard test; the numbers of questions answered will display on the test dashboard while paused.

If the test is configured as a Full Length Test (FLT); the number of questions answered will not display on the test dashboard while paused.
