- How does the AI Assistant generate responses?
The assistant uses lessons, questions and flash cards from courses to generate accurate and relevant responses. It does not access or alter platform data, ensuring a privacy-first design while utilizing the specific course material for its answers.
- What content does the AI Assistant use to answer questions?
Currently, the AI pulls from text based lessons, questions and flashcards in a BenchPrep course.
- Is AI Assistant visible on all pages?
The AI Assistant is visible on all course pages except during exams. This ensures that assessments remain fair and measure your own knowledge without additional support.
- How can administrators customize the AI Assistant?
Administrators can customize the AI Assistant's appearance (icon, name, background icon color), define preconfigured prompts, configure welcome messages and footer disclaimers, override default response messages, and select the tone of voice for its responses.
- Is the AI Learning Assistant a standard feature?
The AI Assistant is a paid add-on. For more information on pricing and how to acquire it, you should contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
- How long does set up take?
The actual enablement of the AI Assistant can take as little as a day. However, we recommend a week so that we can perform an initial test of the responses and allow you time to test it as well.
- Is my course data safe?
Yes! AI Assistant keeps your data private and secure. Content and learner data are not shared outside of your organization and are not used to train external AI models. Using an AI Assistant reduces the risk of learners copying and pasting proprietary material into outside AI tools, since support is built directly into your learning environment.
- What if my course content is updated?
The AI Assistant will automatically update when your course is updated. Depending on the extent of the changes, it may take the system a few hours to update.
- Is reporting available?
Once you have activated the AI Assistant, you will begin receiving weekly reports on usage.
- What are referential sources and how do they affect AI Assistant responses?
Referential sources determine which course content the AI Assistant draws from when generating responses. By default, the assistant references only the course it’s enabled in, but you can configure it to reference additional imported courses so it answers using a broader content set.
-
How long does it take for imported courses to be ready for reference?
After you import a course at the tenant level, it may take up to one hour for the content to be fully ingested and available as a referential source for the AI Assistant.
-
What’s the difference between tenant-level and course-level referential sources?
Tenant-level referential sources are the pool of courses imported into the organization’s content library. Course-level referential sources determine which of those imported courses the AI Assistant actually uses when answering within a specific course.
-
Can I reference content from more than one course in AI Assistant?
Yes! After importing multiple courses at the tenant level, you can configure a specific course to reference content from one or more of those imported courses when generating responses.
