The batch editing function in BluePrint allows you to select multiple questions and add or remove them from tests, categories and subcategories more efficiently.

To batch edit questions within a specific course, follow these steps:

  1. In BluePrint, navigate to the desired course, and select Questions in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Check the small checkbox next to each question you would like to batch edit, or select all checkboxes if you would like to edit all of them.
  3. Click on the Batch Edit button above the question list, and an additional menu will appear.
  4. Select the correct attributes of the questions you would like to edit. You can update:
    1. Category (including Subcategories)
    2. Test - add to or remove questions from a test
    3. Choices Count - Use only if necessary. After updating the choices count using this option, navigate to each modified question, and update their question content and answer choice text to ensure it matches.
NOTE: The functionality does not apply to question types that do not have answer choices (i.e. free response, range, drag & drop, etc.)
    4. Passage - connect selected questions to a passage
    5. Study Task - add or remove selected questions from a Study Task

    6. Connections - add or remove selected questions from Connections

  5. Click on Save.
  6. Once ready, Publish Changes in your course to surface the updates to learners.
