1. Creating New Courses

When you go to create a New Course, you’ll be met with two options:

  1. BenchPrep Course
  2. Asset-Based Course

BenchPrep Course

This is our standard offering. Select this course to access all our content modal offerings, including lessons, questions, and flashcards. This course type also allows SCORM, Skillable labs, and Practice-Based Questions (PBQ) sets to be integrated in the course.

If you have content that already exists (in .docx, .pdf, .html, or some other format), or if you have content you wish to author, we recommend this course type.

Here’s an example of how this course looks in our platform:

Asset-Based Course

This course will not display in our Learning Platform: instead, a learner will find this course in their User Portal and select Launch Course. Because this course type only allows for SCORM, xAPI, AICC, cmi5, PDF, and URL uploads, the course will pull up a dedicated player to display the content to learners. They’ll be able to interact with the course and keep track of their progress in the User Portal.

If your course has already been authored in Storyline, Rise, Articulate, or another Content Authoring Tool that exports to a format besides HTML, we recommend this course type. To leverage all of our platform’s features and analytics reporting, we recommend you spend time converting the content into HTML-5 on our platform.
